Growing consumer awareness to buy ethically and sustainably produced products is a potential opportunity for Indonesian farmers and spices business operators to pursue Fairtrade certification.
To improve knowledge and a better understanding of the Fairtrade certification process, the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Industry (MoI), in collaboration with ARISE+ Indonesia, organised a capacity-building workshop for functional officers at both ministries, business associations and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) facilitators at the National Standardization Agency (BSN).
The four-day hybrid workshop from 28 November to 1 December 2022 was delivered for two batches of participants.
The Director of Standardization and Quality Control, the Ministry of Trade, Rr. Dyah Palupi delivered her opening remarks and officially opened the training workshop.
