ARISE+ Indonesia, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP), the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Directorate General of National Export Development (DGNED), the Ministry of Trade, facilitates selected Indonesian Geographical Indications to participate in the F+B Exhibition Indonesia at JIExpo Kemayoran, 18-21 May 2022. Food + Beverage Indonesia is the country's comprehensive trade show for the food industry.
Participation in the international trade fair is expected to promote Geographical Indication-certified local agri-food products with premium quality and unique taste to prospective international and domestic buyers, exporters, the culinary industry community, and the public. Geographical Indication is a sign used on products that have a specific geographic origin and possess characteristics, quality, and reputation influenced by that geographic origin. The influence can be due to natural factors, human factors, or both.
The selected high-quality agri-food products featured at the F+B Indonesia Exhibition include Adan Krayan Rice, Atinggola Gorontalo Coconut Sugar, Berau Cocoa, East Luwu Pepper, Flores Manggarai Arabica Coffee, Flores Manggarai Robusta Coffee, Bajawa Arabica Coffee, Gayo Arabica Coffee, Tea Java Preanger, Krayan Mountain Salt, Kulon Progo Jogja Coconut Sugar, Koerintji Cinnamon, Minahasa Cloves, Moloku Kie Raha Cloves, Muntok White Pepper, Siau Nutmeg, and Sumbawa Honey.
The participation of selected Indonesian Geographical Indications products in the F+B Indonesia Exhibition is the third presentation at international trade promotion exhibitions after Dubai Expo 2020 in March and Alimentaria in Barcelona in April 2022. Participation in trade fairs is a form of Government support for Geographical Indications SMEs facilitated by ARISE+ Indonesia, a Trade Facility Support Program funded by the European Union, to strengthen international linkages and exports to global markets.
