Food safety is a global concern, and the responsibility is shared between the government, food industries and consumers. Thus, it is crucial that stakeholders have a better understanding of the risk analysis concept and how a risk-based food control system could be developed (as recommended by FAO/WHO in 2018).

14 October 2022 - Technical Assistance I

The next stop on our culinary journal is East Luwu Regency, an area in the eastern interior of South Sulawesi, which has the largest lake in Sulawesi, Towuti Lake (48 km wide), and the deepest lake in the world, Matana Lake (590 meters). In addition to being renowned for its lakes, this district is also known as one of Indonesia's fourth largest pepper producers, certified with Geographical Indication (GI).

10-14 October 2022 - Technical Assistance II

Practical on-site training and mentoring sessions will be held to complement theoretical training organised for Fish Quarantine and Inspection Agency (BKIPM) on testing contaminants in fisheries products.

6 October 2022 - Technical Assistance I

ARISE+ Indonesia has updated the Trade Defense Handbook to be WTO consistent, encompass recent WTO dispute settlement rulings, and conform to best international practices. The first edition was prepared by the EU-funded Trade Cooperation Facility in 2016. The updated Trade Defense Handbook will be incorporated into the training material for new investigating and trade defence officers. The handover is planned to be made by the Ambassador of the European Union to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam to the Director-General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Trade.
