ARISE+ Regional Event, 7-8 September 2021

The workshop is designed to benefit and help participants to develop, organize and deliver training modules on how to use ASSIST. Participants will learn how to apply the ASSIST Toolkit and website to deliver an effective training on ASSIST. ASSIST is considered as the preeminent tool of public-private cooperation and trade facilitation, and the availability of ASSIST in all ASEAN languages, not just English, will also increase ASEAN ownership and ensure the sustainability of the system beyond the lifespan of the ARISE Plus project. These events are supported by the European Union (EU) through the ARISE Plus Project.

ARISE+ Regional Event, 6 September 2021

ASEAN Regional Integration Support from the EU (ARISE) Plus in collaboration with the Indonesian Business Women Association (Ikatan Wanita Pengusaha Indonesia/IWAPI) organised a video conference to raise awareness on the existence, functioning and trade facilitation benefits of the two primary trade facilitation instruments developed by ASEAN with support from ARISE Plus, known as ASSIST (for Trade in Goods and Trade in Services) and the ATR.

As part of its ongoing scoping assignment for the development of a new Supplier Development Programme (SDP) for Indonesia, ARISE+ Indonesia is convening an initial online consultation between Government representatives and foreign investors established in Indonesia that are active in Indonesia’s Industry 4.0 priority sectors.

The Directorate General of National Export Development of the Ministry of Trade, with support from ARISE+ Indonesia, has prepared a study on B2B and B2C e-commerce and the opportunities for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to increase trade in the local market and develop a strategy for expanding in foreign markets. The study evaluates the e-marketplaces according to factors, such as market entry conditions, promotion tools, support services, etc.
