Support to Enhance Quality Desk Research, Knowledge of and Access to Information and Data on Non-Tariff Measures

The activity is to strengthen the capacity of relevant institutions involved in trade policy in developing policies and strategies to address non-tariff measures (NTM) to optimize benefits from international trade, especially in the context of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the European Union (EU).

The Directorate General for National Export Development, Ministry of Trade, in collaboration with ARISE+ Indonesia will host an online forum to share the key findings of the ARISE+ Electronics Sector Deep Dive for Investment, with a particular focus on export-related findings and implications. Another objective of this activity is to engage key national and regional stakeholders (government and private sector) on the various opportunities and challenges facing the main electronics subsectors.

ARISE+ Indonesia will host three focus group discussions (FGDs) to review the current logo of Indonesia's Geographical Indication (GI). The objective of the FGD is to get input and suggestion from various key stakeholders, namely ministries and state agencies, Indonesian GI producers or MPIG (GI Protection Society) as well as retailers and traders. It is hoped that the FGD can provide information that can be used as a guide for the creative team to make improvements or develop the official logo of the Indonesian geographical indications.

BAPPENAS will host this online training which aims to familiarize the use of the Global Economic Model through exercises and simulations. The training is a follow-up of previous training about two newly developed models, namely the Inter-Regional Trade Model and the Global Economic Model. By conducting this training, BAPPENAS expects to improve participants’ skills in conducting economic analyses, particularly on the impact of external events at provincial level.
