In collaboration with Indonesia Anti Dumping Committee (KADI), the ARISE+ Indonesia facilitated training sessions on Ensuring High Quality and Efficient Case Handling and Investigation Processes. Around 40 officials from KADI and the Trade Defense Directorate Ministry of Industry participated in the events to strengthen anti-subsidy (countervailing) implementation, held via Zoom on 22 and 26 February 2021.

The Fish Quarantine and Inspection Agency (BKIPM) under the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MoMAF) in collaboration with ARISE+ Indonesia held a three-session webinar on the Determination of Heavy Metals and Histamine Content in Fish Products. The ARISE+ Indonesia Project Steering Committee (PSC) took place on 14 December 2020 under the co-chairpersonship of Ms. Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, the Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs, the Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) and Hans Farnhammer, Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation to Indonesia and Brunei. The PSC, which was moderated by P.N. Laksmi Kusumawati, the Director for Trade, Investment and International Economic Cooperation, reviewed implementation progress of the project in 2020 and considered the proposed consolidated Annual Work Plan for 2021. The meeting was the culmination of a consultation process that started early November with project stakeholders on the six components of the Annual Work Plan through the respective Technical Advisory Board Coordinators.

ARISE+ Indonesia supports the participation of nine Indonesian Geographical Indications (GI) producer associations at Terra Madre in Turin, Italy. The Terra Madre event takes place every two years and offers the opportunity to producers to show and present their products to other producers, buyers and consumers from all over the world. Due to the pandemic, this year the event will have exclusively a digital format and run from 8 October 2020 to April 2021.
The ARISE+ Indonesia programme has organized, from 9 to 20 November 2020, three training workshops for the Ministry of Trade (MoT) and other trade institutions in support to strengthening Indonesia’s capacity to deal with non-tariff measures in international trade.

The study is entitled “Deep Dive on Investment in Electronics Sector” provides important information for government agencies and electronics business players to explore export opportunity and attract foreign investors to Indonesia.
